  • Maui Mango wood on coral base.
  • Wood circle hooks made of hardwoods from Maui, California and South Florida and abroad.

"Sea Horse"

  • Made of Koa and Angle fish Teak on Sumac burl, 14 x 10 x 6in.
  • I make 6 to 10 of these wonderful sea horses every year using a variety of woods from Maui and California. Some with other fish, different scenes and reef life. I always have a few on hand.

  • Mahi Mahi, Mackerel, 17 x 17 x 15in.
  • Made from a single piece of very old and very rare Koa wood from the Island of Lanai.

"Wave Maker"

  • Swordfish, 34 x 11 x 9 in.
  • Made from a single piece of Navel orange, resting on three river stones slabs. Sword Fish rising above the water and creating her own wave to ride.

  • King Salmon/Trout, 36 x 14 x 8in.
  • The salmon is made from a single piece of Southern California Cypress and trout made of olive burl. All gill rakers are carved from a rich red colored wood called Apiton.

  • Twenty years ago I fished the Klamouth River in Northern California and remember watching salmon plow through my legs on their journey. Seven trout were caught on that day but the salmon was definitely the “King of the Road”.

  • This wonderful piece is made of 100 yr. old olive wood. This piece is currently on display at the IGFA museum in Dania Beach, Florida

  • I caught this 70 lb. class tarpon on the Indian River out of Jupiter, Florida. My guide buddy, Robert Arrington put me on my first tarpon.

"Tastes Like Chicken"

  • Northern Pike, 54 x 15 x 12 in.
  • Made of coastal live oak and black bird made of Costa Rican hard wood. The northern pike has over 200 teeth made from hickory wood.

  • This piece was inspired by my childhood memories of watching this magnificent predator feeding on ducks, muskrats and other birds while fishing with my dad in Minnesota.

Sold Sculptures

"Permit Me to Introduce Myself"

  • Permit, 21 x 17 x 10 in.
  • Made from Valencia orange wood, this permit is checking out the world famous “Merkin Fly” which is a crab imitation. Turtle grass is hand-pounded copper on a white ash wood sandbar.

"Slap Happy"

  • Thresure Shark, 80 x 32 x 20 in.
  • Made of avocado wood that I cut from my neighbor’s grove. The copper I had cut and pounded to create the kelp. I have 12 sardines that I’ve whittled up.

  • Large Mouth Bass/Threadfin Shad, 28 x 24 x 8in.
  • A single piece of black walnut was used to create this 18 lb. class bass. Feeding on shad made of cypress wood.

  • I’ve spent some serious time fishing at the world-class bass lake of “Lake El Salto” and I’ve seen these giant hogs. I envisioned a big girl having her way with these shad.

"Yellowfin Tuna"

  • Yellowfin Tuna, 23 x 17 x 13in.
  • Made from an old and very rare Torrey Pine tree.

"El Dorado"

  • Dorado, 40 x 30 x 8 in.
  • This bull Dorado, Mahi Mahi, is chasing Sardines in the kelp. Kelp is hand-pounded copper, Sardines are made of Poplar, and the Golden Dorado is sculpted from the very hardwood of the Navel orange tree.

  • Rainbow Trout, 22 x 14 x 12 in.
  • This beautiful table piece is the classic aggressive rainbow trout slamming one of my favorites, May flies, which is made of a single piece of cypress wood. All of the gill rakers are in and has great detail along with the teeth, pallet, etc.

"On the Rocks"

  • Starfish, 24 x 13 x 13 in.
  • Made from a single extremely hard desert root-ball burl of the Sumac Bush.
